Dr Candice Quinn is a psychologist and personal coach, registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency, Medicare and Private Health Insurers. Dr Quinn works with people from all walks of life to overcome unexpected challenges.
Dr Quinn’s psychology speciality is assisting people through transition periods, where things such as physical and mental illness or injury may have caused setbacks, relationships have changed or a significant loss has occurred.
Dr Quinn has worked in the public and private healthcare sector for over 12 years. Her training has included a Bachelor of Psychology with First Class Honours from Southern Cross University (SCU), a Masters of Science in Medicine from the University of Sydney, and also a Doctor of Philosophy completed at the University of Sydney, focusing on the neurobiological basis of Depression.
Dr Quinn has a strong focus on accurate assessment, diagnosis and the application of evidence-based interventions.
Dr Quinn’s clinical work focuses on cognitive-behavioural therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy, disease management strategies and environment modification. With a strong background in both psychological practice and medical research, Dr Quinn offers a skill set effective for working with people who may be experiencing physical and mental health conditions, including older persons experiencing late life adjustments, sports people recovering after injury or transitioning from high level performance to another field, and people having difficulties with medical illnesses.
