Psychologist Jessie Hickey is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and has expertise in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of mental health issues across the lifespan.
Jessie has completed a Bachelor degree in Psychological Science at the University of Queensland and a Masters of Professional Psychology at Australian Catholic University in Brisbane.
She has diverse clinical experience across community, youth, and government organisations, as well as school settings. Prior to joining Integrated Wellness Clinic, Jessie delivered psychological services to individuals and groups from a diverse and complex population with a range of mild to severe clinical presentations, within a Correctional Centre. She has also worked with children, adolescents, and young adults across multiple Headspace centres in Brisbane, worked in schools alongside guidance counsellors, and supported young pregnant and parenting mothers and their families providing outreach case management and group programs.
As a registered Psychologist Jessie is passionate about working collaboratively with clients of all ages to explore and develop a shared understanding of their presenting concerns, tailoring interventions to suit each individual’s goals, circumstance and strengths, and equipping clients with the strategies to overcome their difficulties. She is committed to creating a non-judgmental and welcoming environment and is genuine and authentic in her interactions, utilising a warm and empathetic approach. Jessie believes that wellbeing and vitality come from incorporating a holistic approach to health care and believes in multidisciplinary practice. This includes taking into consideration the mental, emotional, physical, social and spiritual states of well-being and how they interact to inform goals and treatment.
Jessie is able to provide expert psychological care for a range of presenting mental health and behavioural issues in adults, adolescents, and children including:

Jessie utilises a range of evidence based treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma-Focussed CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focussed Therapy, and Mindfulness in order to create positive change and assist clients to live healthy fulfilling lives.
