Antonia is a Registered Psychologist who works part time with us at Integrated Wellness Clinic. Antonia completed her Masters of Professional Psychology at Monash University. She is known for her approachable, caring, and kind demeanour, in particular her passion for understanding individual concerns and experiences. Antonia has worked within government and non-government systems including the unemployment and disability sectors, as well as learning environments with children, before moving into private practice.
Antonia aims to support individuals not only to survive, but to thrive following challenging life experiences, and to move forwards towards achieving their goals. Antonia prefers to apply a Person-Centred, Strengths-Based approach in tailoring services to the person’s unique preferences, strengths and needs. Her collaborative approach to psychological care involves seeking feedback from clients as well as involving family members and other health professionals when required. This has led to overwhelmingly positive results for her clients, including those with very complex mental health needs.
Antonia enjoys using a variety of evidence-based therapeutic models including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)/Mindfulness, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Creative therapies such as art and music, as well as Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-focused therapy. Antonia is a member of the Australian Psychological Society.
