Dr Julia Caldwell is a Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years’ experience in supporting people to get through difficult times.
Julia has worked in both public and private organisations. Julia has submitted her PhD earlier this year completed under Professor Pamela Meredith, Dr Koa Whittingham, and Emeritus Professor Jenny Ziviani at The University of Queensland. Her PhD focused on using a compassion-focused approach to better support women dealing with shame, guilt, and stress when they become a mother.
Julia has training and skills in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Eye Movement and Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Ego State Therapy.
Julia is taking referrals from adults that may be feeling stressed, anxious, depressed, frustrated, overwhelmed, numb, or generally unsatisfied with their life. Julia enjoys connecting with – and getting to know – people, and using her training, skills, and experience to support people to live a life that is meaningful to them.
Julia is available on Saturdays only and works out of the Paddington Clinic.
