Sheena is a registered psychologist who has worked across the public health and forensic sectors in regional areas. She has expertise working cross culturally with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, as well as Timorese, Italian, Greek and Indonesian people.
Across her career she has worked with clients experiencing mental health issues arising from significant life events, chronic or complex health conditions, disabilities and trauma. Sheena has a natural and empathic approach to therapy that focuses on individual strengths and building a strong therapeutic relationship.
Sheena is trained and experienced using a variety of evidence-based interventions including Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
