CBT is a well established, evidence based type of psychotherapy that allows client’s to become aware of the link between their thoughts, feelings and behaviours and able to identify those that are maladaptive and causing their psychological difficulties such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, obsessive compulsive disorder, panic attacks, anger issues, substance abuse, and many more.
Mindfulness is an evidence-based tool for enhancing psychological health and wellbeing. It’s been clinically proven to successfully treat a wide range of clinical conditions including chronic pain, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and OCD. It can reduce stress, increase self-awareness, improve emotional intelligence and help one to become better equipped to handle painful thoughts and feelings.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is recognised worldwide as an effective form of treatment for trauma. EMDR therapy can also be effective in treating the “everyday” memories that are the reason people have low self-esteem, feelings of powerlessness, and all the myriad problems that bring them to therapy. Do I need a GP referral to see a a Psychologist?
No you don’t. Many of our patients see us without a referral. But if you would like to access medicare rebates you will need to see a doctor first. Contact us for specific questions.
How many psychology sessions are covered under Medicare?
People who are eligible for a mental health care plan can receive up to 10 individual or group therapy sessions covered under Medicare in one calendar year. Once these have been used, there are other incentives through medicare that you may be eligible for such as an Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC).
We do offer a limited number of bulk billing sessions (subject to criteria).
What is a mental health care plan?
A mental health care plan is a plan that your GP writes about treating and managing a mental health condition.
It enables you to access certain allied health professionals, such as psychologists, social workers or occupational therapists who can provide you with psychological support.

Do you offer bulk billing?
For a limited number of people who meet an eligibility criteria, we may be able to provide 100% Medicare bulk billed sessions (with a doctors referral). Please call the clinic to discuss.
What are your fees?
Can I use my NDIS funding to see a Psychologist?
Yes, only if your NDIS funding is self-managed or Plan Managed. Payment for consultations are required at the end of every session. Please organise with your Plan Manager to have the funds to pay for each session. We have many clients we support in this manner.
What ages do consult with?
We have Psychologists who are specially trained and experienced in all ages Toddlers, Children, Teenagers and Adults.
What is the integrative approach?
It is understanding the persons psychology by assessing all aspects life. Physical, social, environmental and mental health. Integrative Psychology means we value collaborative care to get our clients well (if that is what is in the clients best interest). Such as integrating a Nutritionist, Physiotherapist, Doctor or Specialist into the clients care.
Do you offer sessions via video consultations?
Yes we do. For full fee paying clients, we can easily offer confidential online consultations. However, you may not be eligible for a medicare rebate unless you are rural (thus subject to medicare criteria), so you will need to pay the fee without a rebate if you do not match this criteria.

What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept credit card (No Amex), EFTPOS, cash in clinic. For interstate clients we take credit card payments. For overseas clients we accept PayPal.
